Ambassador's meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization

We reviewed Moldova's economic outlook for this year, the sectors driving economic growth, and the growing economic role of manufacturing/production and investment.

We were pleased to note that the growth dynamics of bilateral trade remained stable in 2025. We appreciated the activities of major Hungarian companies (OTP, WizzAir) active in the Moldovan market; their services are well received by the Moldovan population.

From the Hungarian side, we expressed our readiness to hold the 6th meeting of the Hungarian-Moldovan Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation in Chisinau in the second half of 2026. We emphasised the importance of organising joint business events in view of the growing interest in economic and trade cooperation.

We reaffirmed Hungary's commitment to supporting Moldova's European integration efforts, which will remain unchanged in the future, as it has been in the past.
